Earlier today John Randle Jersey , esota Vikings were talking to former Houston Texans and Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak about a role with the team, and we weren’t quite sure what that role was going to be.Well, we know now. . .because the Vikings have hired Kubiak.According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Vikings are hiring Kubiak in what’s being called an “offensive advisory” role. I don’t think that means he’s going to be putting those little stickers on albums or anything, but I’m not entirely sure what role he’s going to play. My guess is that there will be some sort of press conference coming here soon to clarify things.It also appears that the Vikings are getting two Kubiaks for the price of one, as Gary’s son Klint is apparently poised to take over as the team’s quarterbacks coach. This will be Klint Kubiak’s second stint with the Vikings, as he was with the team in 2013 and 2014 as an assistant wide receiver coach and offensive quality control analyst. In the 2016 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings made Dalvin Cook the centerpiece of that year’s class, taking him in the second round with the 41st overall selection. In the 28 games that the Vikings have played since then (counting postseason contests), Cook has been available for just seven of those games, owing to a knee injury that cost him much of his rookie season and a hamstring injury that has hampered him this year.
