Celta Vigo outclassed Almeria with a 4-2 away win as forward Manuel "Nolito" Agudo netted a double, and Paulao scored one goal and set up another, but both for the wrong team, as bottom-side Real Betis slumped to a demoralizing 3-1 defeat at Rayo Vallecano. TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported Saturday morning that his sources indicate the Canucks are considering moving their 27-year-old netminder and that the Edmonton Oilers might well be in on the action. Dreger continued that the talks may be a contingency plan in the event the team is unable to move Roberto Luongo, who has been the subject of trade rumours for more than a year. The asking price is believed to start with a first round draft pick and a prospect, according to Dreger, though he added that the talks may simply believed to be a way to gauge Schneiders worth on the open market. Schneider posted a 17-9-4 record in 30 regular season games with the Canucks last season, his first in Vancouver earning the majority of the teams starts. A late-season injury would hand the starters role over to Luongo for the beginning of the Canucks opening-round series against the San Jose Sharks.
