The Panthers are down to their Plan C at quarterback https://www.pantherslockerroom.com/authentic-dj-moore-jersey , and the line they put in front of him won’t be what you’d call star-studded either. The Panthers rule Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner out for the finale against the Saints JVs, along with defensive tackle Kawann Short and oh by the way quarterback Cam Newton.Backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke won’t play this week since he went on IR after his first start, leaving Kyle Allen to start behind a patchwork line.Tyler Larsen will start at right guard, but that won’t be the extent of the changes. Veteran Marshall Newhouse https://www.pantherslockerroom.com/authentic-curtis-samuel-jersey , who started at left tackle last week, is questionable. It’s hardly the kind of cast center Ryan Kalil should be surrounded with in his final NFL game, since he’s retiring after the season.Running back Kenjon Barner, who got slammed by the Falcons punter last week Blue Matt Paradis Jersey , is also doubtful. The Panthers were back on the field today in preparation for their game on Monday night against the Saints, and a few notable players were absent from practice today. The biggest name on today’s report is left tackle Chris Clark. While he hasn’t been the best left tackle in the league since being signed by the Panthers as an emergency option after losing both Daryl Williams and Matt Kalil to injured reserve, he has at least been a warm body with experience. If Clark is unable to play on Monday night, things could get really ugly for Cam Newton—and that’s saying something.Graham Gano was also held out today but there’s a good chance he’ll be ready to go on Monday night. The usual ‘veterans day off’ applied to Julius Peppers Matt Paradis Jersey 2019 , Mike Adams and Thomas Davis today, and Newton was once again limited to no throwing in practice. Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen filled in for Newton any time the ball needed to be thrown.Rashaan Gaulden missing practice is also concerning since the Panthers lack depth in the secondary. They designated Da’Norris Searcy for return from injured reserve a few weeks ago, but they have to decide soon whether or not they’ll add him back to the 53-man roster. If Gaulden is unable to play on Monday, chances are good that we’ll see Searcy back on the roster this week.Update: Gaulden missed practice today due to an illness. Hopefully he’ll be ready to go as the week progresses. Here’s today’s full injury report:Panthers injury reportDid not participate in practiceS Mike Adams (rest/wrist)OT Chris Clark (knee)LB Thomas Davis (rest)K Graham Gano (knee)S Rashaan Gaulden (illness)DE Julius Peppers (rest)Limited participation in practiceQB Cam Newton (shoulder)DT Kawann Short (calf)Full participation in practiceN/APractice StatusDid not participate in practice = 0% of a player’s normal repetitionsLimited participation in practice = Less than 100% of a player’s normal repetitionsFull participation in practice = 100% of a player’s normal repetitionsGame StatusOut = Player will not playDoubtful = Player unlikely to playQuestionable = Uncertain if player will play
