I captured a male and a female. The female was running around on the ground in circles, presumable to broadcast her pheremones. I have seen many males and had a perfect specimen until I broke off one of his antennae when preparing the specimen, so you will see details of the antennae in another post. Here in Pennsylvania, the Forestry Department is predicting a major infestation. Gypsy Moth caterpillars can decimate woodlands and crops. When I found my specimens, I informed the Pennsylvania Forestry Department of my finds so they can put "pins" in the map as to the extent of the Gypsy Moth infestation.
Please help.
