I'm noticing a style of riding I had not really notice before. I am seeing jumper riders (Junior/Ammy) in the lower heights are just setting their hand half way up the neck (in the mane) and leaving it there for pretty much the entire ride. No additional release at the jump.
Is this a way to deal with a forward horse, or did I miss something?
If you were horse shopping, would this style of riding give you any hints to the type of horse, or is it just a style of coaching?
Please help. Thanks!
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
